We are pleased to announce that we have joined forces with the Charity “Pure Insight” to help out with their amazing cause. Pure Insight gives help to people aged between 16-28. The care leavers are either about to leave or have already left statutory care. It’s, therefore, a fantastic cause for the local area.
Pure Insight works closely with care workers and mentors in the community. They “tackle the significant barriers that can be faced by this group of young people. This includes; homelessness, extreme loneliness and isolation. Also, low aspirations and expectations, low confidence and self-esteem”
We recently attended a meeting at Marketing Stockport. Here, we listened to one of the charity’s mentors give a touching presentation about the charity and the people involved. After hearing this we simply needed to give something back to this amazing project. We, therefore, decided that for every new customer within the next 12 months, we will donate £15 to the charity.
Cafe Zest
Our donation of £15 will provide one person with a free meal at Café Zest each week. Café Zest is a drop in Café set up to provide advice and support for young adults in the Stockport area in a safe and engaging environment. Mentors and Careworkers get together once a week to help develop relationships and support networks for the young care leavers. The evenings involve learning to cook, information on budgeting, sexual health talks and community quizzes.
